Attached to King Johns Castle and the WW1 Memorial Wall, this is a favourite spot among locals and visitors alike. Beautifully set and expertly staffed, it offers an evening menu of fresh fish, steaks from the grill, gourmet burgers, stone-baked pizzas and an authentic tapas range. Third generation cask wines, a classic cocktail collection and loads of local craft beers, have all been chosen to complement the eclectic menu.
JITTERBEANS DELI & COFFEE BAR
Jitterbeans Deli is a small family run independent take away deli and coffee shop. Situated 5 minutes from our front door, it’s been serving great food to locals and visitors since 2002. With food that’s made daily from scratch in their kitchen, they use only the freshest ingredients. From fresh coffee, baked breakfast pastries and seasonal salads, the menu is inspired by seasonal ingredients available locally. Serving breakfast, lunch and all those snacks in-between, they also do a beautiful picnic box that you can take with you to enjoy in the incredible Dungarvan countryside.
Since 1997, locals Paul and Máire Flynn have overseen one of the most original and welcoming experiences in Irish food. Using the finest and freshest Waterford produce, their ever-changing menus have a mouth-watering focus on flavour. From cosy chats in the wine bar, to the welcoming service of their expert staff, you can enjoy a bright and buzzy atmosphere at any of their tables. Less than a 10 minute walk from our front door, this is one of the best places in Dungarvan to enjoy that most important of ingredients – a great time.
MERRY’S GASTRO PUB
Boasting a full menu of delicious fare including their famous Fungarvan Burger and the Dungarvan Brewing Company Beer Battered Cod, this picture-perfect restaurant and craft bar is housed in a historic 150 year old building. With two open fires and a few secret snugs, you’ll easily find somewhere to enjoy the magical live music every weekend. And with a range of home-brand brews and spirits to choose from, you’ll also find something to sip as you soak up the unique atmosphere.
This fantastic family-owned seafood restaurant has been housed in a magnificent 16th-century building for over 30 years. It was lovingly restored from the point of dereliction, to the beautiful stone building you see today. Their scenic coastal location makes gathering fresh local produce a delight for Róisín and her expert team. Their perfectly-prepared meats, fish and fresh vegetables, take centre stage when the season is right. Catering for both business and pleasure, you can find them just a five minute walk from our front door.
Just a scenic five-minute stroll from our front door, The Moorings overlooks our picturesque harbour. With a rustic decor and a lively and welcoming atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to have a few drinks and enjoy an unforgettable meal. The building itself is steeped in maritime history, while its beautiful outdoor courtyard bar is bordered by the ancient castle walls of the 12th-century King John’s Castle. Serving fantastic bistro-style food daily, you can choose to enjoy your meal in their outdoor courtyard or one of their cosy nautical-inspired indoor spaces.
Established in 1998 by Susan Denn, a local chef with a passion for quality local produce, prepared and served with a minimum of fuss, Interlude is a beautifully-designed space situated less than 5 minutes from our front door. Consistently delivering the highest-quality fresh local fare, Susan and her expert team prepare simple food with a minimum of fuss. To craft a special atmosphere, she engaged local interior designers, sculptors and artists to form what is truly a unique space.
THE INDIAN OCEAN
Situated on our beautiful quayside in the heart of Dungarvan, just five minutes up the road from us, The Indian Ocean is a Tandoori restaurant that’s famous for their quality, atmosphere and attention to detail. Here you can enjoy incredible service for incredible value, as you sample deliciously authentic Indian food and spectacular views of the harbour.
THE OLD BANK
Majestically located overlooking the harbour, the splendour of their stylish façade will take your breath away as you approach. Their mouth-watering fare focuses on local fish, shellfish, seafood and beef. While their fresh vegetables and salad leaves are organically grown in their own farm located nearby. While here, you can start your journey in their Cocktail Bar and Terrace, before savouring a signature pre-dinner drink.
